Why we take 4 months between two series.
The 2026 series (numbers 1 to 247) will be entirely sold out by end of September. The next series — 248 to 494 — is scheduled for January 2027.
Why 4 months of transition? Three operational reasons:
1. Equipment maintenance — complete overhaul of the 2 electrolyzers, calibration of the Lovibond MD 600 DPD meter, replacement of laboratory osmosis filters. Cost ~3,200 €, duration 3 weeks.
2. Raw material stock — order Nafion 117 (lead-time 8-14 weeks Chemours USA), spot LBMA platinum, Pt-Ir Asahi Kasei electrodes (anticipated March 2027 order). Raw material budget 78,400 €.
3. R&D 2027 series — case design iteration (current weight 380 g → target 340 g), IP68 watertightness test (vs current IP67), evaluation of Nafion XL membrane for +8% efficiency.
