H2 and peptide stack BPC-157 / TB-500 / GHK-Cu: compatibility

BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu: the peptide trilogy now dominates serious RP, biohacking and longevity forums. These three molecules share a common denominator: a tissue-modulation action via anti-inflammatory and pro-regenerative pathways. Molecular hydrogen (H₂) fits the same register of fine, selective signalling with no brutal pharmacological effect, raising a practical question: does combining them make sense, or are we adding expensive redundancies?

Mechanism: why the anti-inflammatory pathway converges

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound, 15 amino acids) is studied primarily by the Sikiric school in Zagreb. Animal data describe accelerated healing of tendons, ligaments and digestive mucosae via VEGF up-regulation (angiogenesis) and NO-synthase modulation. Main pathway: restoration of vascular integrity and reduction of local TNF-α.

TB-500 (thymosin β4 fragment) acts on cell migration and cytoplasmic actin. Available data suggest accelerated muscle and tendon regeneration, again via reduction of local inflammatory markers.

GHK-Cu (copper tripeptide) modulates the expression of more than 4,000 human genes according to Pickart's work, a significant portion of which is linked to tissue remodelling and reduction of chronic oxidative stress.

Molecular hydrogen acts on a different but convergent level: it selectively neutralises the hydroxyl radical (•OH) and peroxynitrite (ONOO⁻), the two most deleterious oxidative species for repairing tissues, without touching useful signalling species (H₂O₂, beneficial NO). This selectivity is the point identified by Ohsawa (Nature Medicine, 2007) that distinguishes H₂ from classic antioxidants.

The combination logic is clear on paper: peptides act upstream (repair signal), H₂ cleans the redox environment in which this repair occurs. The question remains empirical, owing to the absence of studies explicitly combining these molecules.

Experimental quantified-self protocol

The protocol below is synthesised from direct exchanges with about twenty advanced HYDROGENYX users who combine hydrogen water and peptides under medical supervision. It has no value as a recommendation, only as documentation of real-world use.

Phase 1 baseline (4 weeks). ELITE 9K water alone, 2-3 glasses of 750 mL/day. Tracking: hs-CRP, resting creatine kinase, daily EVA joint pain, sleep quality with Whoop or Oura. Goal: establish an individual baseline outside peptides.

Phase 2 peptide introduction (8 weeks, under physician). Peptide cycle validated by the referring physician. Strict maintenance of the H₂ protocol. Limits, safety, regulatory status
